To defeat The Hive Lord, it is crucial to avoid his massive AOE attack by quickly moving out of the large red circle he creates when slamming his fists on the ground. The longer you stay in the circle, the more damage you will take. Additionally, when The Hive Lord summons kwama adds, focus on quickly eliminating them as they have low health and can be easily taken out with AOE attacks. Be prepared for The Hive Lord to randomly jump to distant targets, dealing physical damage in the process. Lastly, the tank should ensure that they are always in front of the Hive Lord to mitigate his powerful frontal cone slam attack, as it is challenging to dodge.
